This is the one book i go back and read every time I'm between books, once you start on Sherrilyn's world and from the moment you meet Ash you feel like you are related to him and you want to know more, when this book first came out, i remember a read it in 2 days. so without any delay here is my personal review of this amazing book:

LA GENTE AUTENTICA

Me quito el sombrero ante aquellos que hacen promesas y las cumplen. Ante las personas que siguen a tu lado en momentos dificiles. Esos seres que si no pueden cumplir, asumen las consecuencias. Me encantan los humanos respetuosos y considerados. Adoro a quienes no cambian las reglas a su conveniencia. A quienes no juegan con los sentimientos de otros. Respeto profundamente a quienes no toman el nombre de Dios en vano. A esos que hacen lo que dicen. Quienes son lo que pretenden y no pretenden ser mas de lo que son. Mil bendiciones a esas personas que no juegan con cartas marcadas. Que no andan con misterios, ni tienen agendas ocultas. Esas personas maravillosas que poseen una sola cara y que se arriesgan de vez en vez a caer mal, con tal de ser auténticos. Amo a quienes practican la integridad. Tengo debilidad por las personas verdaderas.

RIP MAYA ANGELOU

La prensa de ayer trajo una noticia triste: murió la poetisa y escritora estadounidense Maya Angelou, una de las artistas afroamericanas más importantes de ese país, a sus 86 años y uno de los mejores ejemplo de superación y de fe.A pesar de que no asistió nunca a la universidad, los catedráticos se referían a ella como "doctora". Nació el 4 de abril de 1928 en Saint Louis, Missouri. Creció entre esa ciudad y Stamps, en Arkansas, que en su juventud era un pueblo racista. Se embarcó en la escritura tras una tragedia de su infancia: a los siete años, el novio de su madre la violó y ella testificó contra él. Una masa enardecida de vecinos lo golpeó hasta la muerte y la niña dejó de hablar."Mi lógica de niña de siete años dedujo que fue mi voz la que lo mató. Así que me mantuve en silencio durante casi seis años", contó en una oportunidad. Así fue que se dedicó a escribir. Hablaba seis idiomas y trabajó como editora de periódicos en Egipto y Gana, y  con  Martín Luther King, trabajó durante el movimiento de derechos civiles. Hoy queremos compartir de esta sabia,  simple y honesta mujer, su escrito:

Despeinada

Hoy he aprendido que hay que dejar que la vida te despeine, por eso he decidido disfrutar la vida con mayor intensidad… El mundo está loco. Definitivamente loco… Lo rico, engorda. Lo lindo, sale caro. El sol que ilumina tu rostro, arruga. Y lo realmente bueno de esta vida, despeina… - Hacer el amor despeina. - Reírte a carcajadas despeina. - Viajar, volar, correr, meterte en el mar despeina. - Quitarte la ropa despeina. - Besar a la persona que amas despeina... - Jugar despeina. - Cantar hasta que te quedes sin aire despeina. - Bailar hasta que dudes si fue buena idea ponerte tacones altos esa noche te deja el pelo irreconocible… 

Así que como siempre, cada vez que nos veamos, yo voy a estar con el cabello despeinado… 

Sin embargo, no tengas duda de que estaré pasando por el momento más feliz de mi vida... Es ley de vida: siempre va a estar más despeinada la mujer que elija ir en el primer carrito de la montaña rusa, que la que elija no subirse. 

Puede ser que me sienta tentada a ser una mujer impecable, peinada y planchadita por dentro y por fuera. El aviso clasificado de este mundo exige buena presencia: Péinate, ponte, sácate, cómprate, corre, adelgaza, come sano, camina derechita, ponte seria…

Oración para el amor 

Hoy, Señor, ayúdame a aceptarme a mí mismo tal como soy sin juicios. Ayúdame a aceptar mi mente tal como es, con todas mis emociones, mis esperanzas, mis sueños y mi personalidad única. Ayúdame  aceptar mi cuerpo tal como es, con toda su belleza y su perfección.

Hoy, Señor, purifica mi mente de todo el veneno emocional y de mis propios juicios personales, para que pueda vivir con paz y amor. Fast and the Furious 6 it as entertaining, funny, dramatic, romantic ... everything you need to let your self have some fun and forget about the hard day of work you just had. Thank you Vin Diesel & Co. for always producing such amazing movies. Another reason why I love movies... Looking forward to part 7 can't hardly wait for what Jason Statham will bring to the mix.... I know it's gonna be even better than this one.

Life Lesson

Life lesson: learn to be happy on your own. Many people out there don't know how it feels to be happy with themselves so they jump into relationships looking for that happiness and for them to fulfill that empty space. LA ESENCIA DE LA VIDA

Este escrito llego a mi y me sentí muy identificada por eso lo comparto por aquí. 

Casi nada de lo que creemos que es importante me lo parece. Ni el éxito, ni el poder, ni el dinero, más allá de lo imprescindible para vivir con dignidad. Paso de las coronas de laureles y de los halagos sucios. Igual que paso del fango de la envidia, de la maledicencia y el juicio ajeno. Aparto a los quejumbrosos y malhumorados, a los egoístas y ambiciosos que aspiran a reposar en tumbas llenas de honores y cuentas bancarias, sobre las que nadie derramará una sola lágrima en la que quepa una partícula minúscula de pena verdadera. Detesto los coches de lujo que ensucian el mundo, los abrigos de pieles arrancadas de un cuerpo tibio y palpitante, las joyas fabricadas sobre las penalidades de hombres esclavos que padecen en las minas de esmeraldas y de oro a cambio de un pedazo de pan.

Rechazo el cinismo de una sociedad que sólo piensa en su propio bienestar y se desentiende del malestar de los otros, a base del cual construye su derroche. Y a los malditos indiferentes que nunca se meten en líos. Señalo con el dedo a los hipócritas que depositan una moneda en las huchas de las misiones pero no comparten la mesa con un inmigrante. Un par de árboles al otro lado de los cristales y un pedazo de cielo al que se asomen la luz y la noche. El mejor verso del mundo y la más hermosa de las músicas. Por lo demás, podría comer patatas cocidas y dormir en el suelo mientras mi conciencia esté tranquila.

También quiero, eso sí, mantener la libertad y el espíritu crítico por los que pago con gusto todo el precio que haya que pagar. Quiero toda la serenidad para sobrellevar el dolor y toda la alegría para disfrutar de lo bueno. Un instante de belleza a diario. Echar desesperadamente de menos a los que tengan que irse porque tuve la suerte de haberlos tenido a mi lado. No estar jamás de vuelta de nada. Seguir llorando cada vez que algo lo merezca, pero no quejarme de ninguna tontería. No convertirme nunca, nunca, en una mujer amargada, pase lo que pase. Y que el día en que me toque esfumarme, un puñadito de personas piensen que valió la pena que yo anduviera un rato por aquí. Sólo quiero eso. Casi nada o todo.
